Griffith Taylor and Amy Johnson, the creators of Classercise, have shared two lifelong passions: The love for children and the love for fitness. They left the classroom as elementary educators a few years ago to pursue their love for fitness and desire to help others reach optimum health. They are now personal trainers and group exercise instructors. The steady decline in school childrens’ health is what prompted them to create a classroom workout for Kindergarten through 6th grade children. Amy and TJ believe that teachers are one of the greatest influences on children. Teachers have an opportunity to model physical fitness in classrooms across the country. The goal of the Classercise program is to improve the health of the nation’s school children and encourage teachers to model physical fitness in the classroom.
